The Beginning of the Journey
Hi, I'm Younes!
Originally from Lebanon, I moved to Italy in 2018 with big dreams and an eagerness to explore new opportunities. Initially, I chose to pursue mechanical engineering because I was fascinated by technology, innovation, and solving complex problems. As I immersed myself in textbooks, lectures, and labs, engineering taught me valuable lessons in precision, discipline, and attention to detail.
During my time studying, I unexpectedly discovered another passion—barbering. What started as a hobby quickly became an essential part of my life. Barbering wasn't just about cutting hair; it was about creativity, personal connection, and helping people feel confident and good about themselves. Balancing my two passions—engineering and barbering—became both challenging and deeply rewarding.
A Passion Becomes a Profession
In October 2022, after years of dedication, late-night studying, and countless exams, I graduated with my mechanical engineering degree. It was a proud moment, signaling not only academic success but also personal growth and resilience.
Exactly one year later, in October 2023, I took another major step by opening my own barber shop, HY Salon. It quickly became more than just a business—it became a reflection of my journey, combining the meticulousness of engineering with the artistry of barbering. HY Salon is not just a place for a haircut; it's an experience filled with precision, style, and genuine care.
Looking Ahead
Determined to keep growing both personally and professionally, I pursued further education. In October 2024, I proudly earned another degree, this time in management engineering. This allowed me to enhance my skills in business strategy, management, and operational excellence, ensuring that HY Salon continues to thrive and evolve.
October has truly become my lucky month—a symbolic period when my hard work and dedication consistently turn into meaningful achievements. Looking forward, I am excited about future Octobers, each holding the promise of new adventures, continued growth, and the fulfillment of my dreams.
